Prosthetic socks are designed to maintain a snug fit of your prosthetic limb. When a prosthesis becomes loose it begins to feel heavy and will cause the residual limb to sink farther into the prosthesis. This causes excess weight bearing or pressure which may lead to friction related blister or ulcers. This can be reduced by wearing a stump or Prosthetic socks.

Stump socks provide socket comfort and skin protection. It also reduces friction and absorbs perspiration by wicking the moisture away from the skin. Reducing perspiration on the skin will reduce bacterial infections and other skin complications.
