To use the traction, first wear the pelvic belt around your hips.
Ensure that the belt is not too high or on the waist as the pull of the weight back has to be on the pelvis.
The belt has long straps on both sides which will attach to the weight bag via a spreader bar and a rope and pulley system.
The physician will specify the weight to be used and frequency of the traction.
Usually the traction has to be applied for a few days. You should get out of the traction only to go to the bathroom.
