GENERAL DETAILS

Following unique features of AgFab Silver technology makes AgFix Ultra Max a safer and highly effective wound dressing.

1. Sustained silver ion release

The unique silver antimicrobial technology in use ensures a steady release of Ag+ ions in concentration levels above Minimum Inhibitory (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal (MBC).

2. Broad spectrum efficacy

Silver ions are active against a broad range of bacteria, fungi and viruses, including many antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Epidermidis (MRSE) and Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci (VRE)

3. Multifaceted attack of the bacteria

Silver ions, unlike antibiotics, attack bacteria in multiple ways. Silver ions cause structural damage and prevent essential cellular functions resulting in the loss of infectivity to cell death

TECHNICAL DETAILS

AGFIX Ultra Max Foam Dressing has following layers

Non-adherent Poly ethylene layer prevents the dressing from adhering to the wound. This enables the dressing removal painless without disturbing the newly formed granulation tissue.
Anti-microbial Silver layer releases silver ions to the wound bed and reduces the wound bio burden to a level supportive for the faster healing process.
10 mm thick Hydrophilic Polyurethane foam with embedded Super Absorbent Polymer helps in quick and excellent absorption of exudates.
Waterproof semi-permeable Polyurethane film protects the wound from bacterial strike through.

Directions for use

Disinfect the wound with sterile water

Apply the product such that the silver coloured layer comes in contact with the wound

Use secondary dressing to fix the foam pad in place

For better results avoid other topical applications along with the product
