Silicone Hydrophilic Foam Dressing – Relifoam

Relifoam Silicone Hydrophilic Foam Dressing has PU Film backing border with Soft Silicone Adhesive. Soft silicone adhesive enables the dressing to adhere to the patient without sticking to newly formed granulation tissue. Silicone Adhesive grid coating improves MVTR of PU film and allows fluid passage to the pad. The wound contact layer is perforated with holes which enables the passage of exudate into the foam whitest protecting the wound bed.
- Micro-adherent soft silicone adhesives are able to create many contact points over the uneven surface of the skin
- Soft silicone adhesives are permanently in a tacky state and provide a safe level of adhesion that does not increase on contact with the skin over time
- Silicones are inert and non-toxic and consequently they are non-sensitizing
- The adhesion between soft silicone dressings and intact skin inhibits the movement of exudate from wounds onto surrounding skin and helps to prevent maceration by forming a seal between the dressing and the intact skin
