EASYCAST is a next-generation pneumatic walker boot engineered to offer controlled mobility, uniform compression, and post-operative stabilization. Designed to replace conventional plaster casts and splints, EASYCAST enables patients with lower limb injuries to recover faster by encouraging movement, reducing swelling, and preventing complications like Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

🛡️ Patient Guidance & Safety Instructions

Step-by-Step Application:

Unfasten the straps in the front, remove front panel and open the foam liner

In a seating posture, place the foot in the foam liner and wrap it around the leg preventing the possibility of wrinkle formation

Place the front panel back on the brace and securely fasten the hook and loop straps from bottom to top. Ensure it is snug fit and comfortable

To inflate the air cells, gently press repeatedly on the inbuilt inflation pump in the front. To deflate the air-cells, press the deflation valve below.

✅ EASYCAST is to be used only under the prescription or advice of a medical professional.

✅ Higher pressure gives more support while walking, lower pressure is more comfortable while sitting or reclining

✅ Ensure the correct size is selected using the measurement guide.

✅ Use the inflation pump only after securing the boot in place.

✅ Wear socks while using the walker to avoid skin irritation.

✅ Check daily for signs of skin breakdown or pressure marks.

✅ Regularly check that straps are secured and not worn out.

✅ Deflate air bladder before removal of the boot.

 

❌ Do not over-inflate the air bladder. It should feel snug, not tight.

❌ Do not wear directly on injured or open skin without a liner or dressing.

❌ Do not attempt to modify the boot or the air pump.

❌ Do not use in water – the boot is not waterproof.

❌ Do not use for high-impact activities like running or jumping.

❌ Do not ignore pain, numbness, or tingling – report it to your doctor immediately.

❌ Do not machine wash the boot or liner.

✅ Walk only as advised by your doctor or physiotherapist.

🕒 Start with short durations and increase as tolerated.

🚫 Avoid uneven surfaces, wet floors, or stairs without assistance.

📐 Keep the boot aligned with your body to avoid hip/knee strain.

👞 Use non-slip footwear on the opposite foot for balance.

♿ Can be used with a walking stick or crutch if prescribed.
